AATA Animal Transportation Association

Membership Information

Membership is open to anyone engaged in animal transport activities, related regulatory and support activities, research, and programs for humane animal transportation. All members must agree to accept and support the
AATA Statement of Polices.

One of the many benefits of membership in AATA is the network of those actively involved in various aspects of the animal transportation industry. The directory of members and subscribers that accompanies your membership will prove to be an invaluable tool in the conduct of your day to day business. The directory is more than just a list of names, addresses and telephone numbers. It is your key to expanding the expertise you can offer your clients and your key for help when you have problems that need to be solved.

Mission Statement

The Animal Transportation
Association is an organization
with a worldwide membership
of diverse participants.

We serve as a resource for
those concerned with the
humane handling and
transportation of animals.

AATA initiates and encourages
related organizations to
develop "best practices"
for animal transport.

Individual Membership Application

With a "Company", "Government/Academic" or "Trade Association, Press or Library" membership, the company (or organization) is the member and contacts listed with AATA may be changed as employees change.  The membership category selected determines the number of employees that may be listed on AATA's records as "contacts".  Each contact is listed in AATA's Directory and Resource Listing - alphabetically by last name, by company name, by type of business, by types of species handled and by location.  Each contact receives their personal copy of the Membership Directory.

An "Individual Membership" is for an individual personally concerned with animals in transit and who usually does not work for a company that is actively involved in animal transportation.  The membership is in the individual's name, the company name is not listed and the membership moves with the individual to new employment.

1

Number of Contacts Listed:  Company members may list up to the number of contacts allowed in the membership category selected.  These contacts may be located anyplace throughout the world which is a great way to have international offices automatically "in the loop" when it comes to issues within the animal transportation industry.  The individual submitting the application will be considered the "primary" contact for updated information on the contacts to be listed and annual dues invoicing.  Individual members may only list one person on AATA's records and their company name is not listed
