Our
speakers in the general session and workshops were great and the
overall conference program was well received by all. Between
the meetings, lunches and
breaks provided the opportunity to relax and network with colleagues
from around the world. And things really got wild during the
Silent Auction!
The Silent Auction
This year's
auction produced a flurry of excitement when bidding for the
rare FedEx model A380 came under the hammer. An aircraft
that will never be build is always a collector's item and
this was won after a nail biting contest between Penny
Richmond of Instone Air Services and Stephen Poirier of Calgary Airport.
Stephan's nerve finally cracked and the plane was sold to
Penny for an amazing $1100 but Jim Haggarty topped the
list with $1125 for two air tickets donated by Continental.
Michael Kuntz,
Silent Action Administrator, thanks everyone for their
participation in the 4th Annual silent action which raised
$3648 for AATA. As a non profit organization, this
amount is greatly appreciated.
