Travel Tips &
Things to Do in Dresden

Airline Reservations:  Fares found on the Internet are better than could be obtained through discounted meeting fares offered by a conference airline.  However, you may find it cheaper to book your flights into Frankfurt and then go to Lufthansa's website (www.lufthansa.com) to book the Frankfurt-Dresden portion.

OPTIONAL GROUP ACTIVITIES

Go to the conference registration form to reserve space for the group activities below.
Monday, May 19 16:00 - 19:00

BUS TRIP TO LANDGESTÜT MORITZBURG Attendees will leave the hotel at 16:00 for the short bus ride to Moritzburg.  This outside activity is included in the those attendees who have registered for the full conference, family meal packages and Monday daily registrations.  Guests are welcome for a nominal fee of $25.  Additional reservations for guests can be made by completing the appropriate section of the on-line registration form.

The Landgestüt Mortizburg is a stallion station founded in the 1700’s by the Saxonian Kings.   Upon arrival at the State Stud, attendees will be treated to a "Stallion Show" (45-55 minutes) which includes the  presentation of breed representatives, an exhibition of free jumping, stallions under the saddle in a dressage quadrille, and stallions with different historical coaches.

Following the Stallions Show, guests will take a guided tour (60 minutes) through the State Stud and learn about the historical buildings, the stables and facilities including a look at the Stud's artificial insemination (AI) station.

About 19:00 attendees will return to Dresden, delivering the participants in Monday's "Fun-Nite-Out" to the restaurant and returning the others back to the hotel about 19:30.
